Such warmth from Polar Bears….

20170516_094146 (2)While browsing on a chilling evening for card ideas came across Jane Allen, Copic artist. She had colored a polar bear from the MFT Polar Bear Pals that looked like it really had fur! I was blown away and thought that I really needed to try my hand at that type of coloring to challenge myself. So, I recently received my MFT Polar Bear Pals and couldn’t wait to try my hand at coloring them.

I stamped two images, the sitting bear and the skating bear in light grey and light blue respectively. For the sitting bear I used Copic warm greys, W0, W01, W03, and  W05 on the body and finished it off flicking little strokes with my white gel pen. The scarf is YG05 and YG 07 then detailed with a very sharp blue colored pencil to add a bit of dimension and detail. I dotted the scarf with the white gel pen. I used a black gel pen on the nose and nails. B24 for the ground and G00 for the background and blotted with 0. I finished it off layering the picture on Crafter’s Companion Shimmering Cardstock in Coastal Pearl and Glitzy Glitter cardstock from the Cardstock Stack. A few bling was added to make the card sparkle and the Joyful Wishes is from Lawn Fawn Winter Scripty Sayings in Hero Arts Hero Hues Ocean Dye Ink.

I adore this skating bear! I used Copic cool Greys C 1-5. The bases are in cool blue, cardstock and glitter card stock.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
